A special children's joy festival and sports competition were held in Dinajpur under the annual sports program 2024-2025 of the Sports Directorate under the Ministry of Youth and Sports. 110 students from 3 schools participated in 16 competitions.
The competition was held yesterday morning at the premises of the Intellectually Disabled and Autistic School organized by the Dinajpur District Sports Office.
District Sports Officer Akram Hossain said that a total of 110 students from the Intellectually Disabled and Autistic Schools, the Deaf Institute, and the Integrated Visually Impaired School participated in 16 events from the morning in the day-long festival and sports competition for children with special needs.
After the competition, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) SM Habibul Hasan handed over the prizes to the winning students.
District Sports Officer Akram Hossain, Disability Affairs Officer of the Disability Service and Support Center Dinajpur Md Mehedi Hasan, Headmaster of the Intellectually Disabled and Autistic School Abul Shahnewaz, Headmaster of the Deaf Institute Naznin Akhtar and Resource Teacher of the Integrated Visually Impaired School Yasmin and their guardians were present at the time.
